But my roots on both sides of the sea

I bought a book about Frida Kahlo in one of the second-hand books stores on the PE Island during our trip.
It was fascinating to read about her and to see all her paintings explained.
I liked how everything she drew symbolized something – some feeling, emotion, anxiety in her life at that time.
The drawing below is inspired by Frida Kahlo art in a sense that there is a meaning to every detail I drew.

There is a poem by Leah Goldberg which was turned into a beautiful song by Achinoam Nini (Noa), it is called “Pines”.
I love this poem. One line from it says:

“…But my roots on both sides of the sea”.

Here is my drawing.
